Lexmark T430 sits midway between the monolithic workgroup printers and small footprint desk printers. It is small for a workgroup printer, but impressively fast like its high end counterparts.  Total media capacity is up to 450 sheets but you can purchase additional paper trays with 250 and 500 sheet capacity. Other T430 versions also offer a built in duplexer and network connection. A small 2-line LCD comes with a backlight and the simple front panel interface will benefit the non tech savvy. Drum and toner cartridges can be accessed by lifting the top cover. Back profile includes connection for parallel and USB cables. Print outputs live up to the standard, something that Lexmark printers have no trouble of providing. Texts look clean, sharp and with very little toner spread. Details are accurate even an 600 dpi standard resolution.

 

First page print comes out within seconds. Approximate mono printing speed is up to 20 pages per minute, a little short of the advertised 30 ppm speed. Drum comes with the toner so it is easily replaceable. High yield cartridges can print up to 12,000 pages, even with the use of compatible printer toner cartridges.
